ATELIERJES-HYBER-1

Fabrice Hyber

Conception after the intentions of the artist and fabrication of the works in our studio.

Le Laboratoire is a place for creation based on the encounter between an artist and a scientist. They called on us for the exhibition Matière à penser. We materialized Fabrice Hyber’s proposals through functional objects presented from October 2007 to January 2008. Hyber wanted to punctuate his exhibition with concrete experiences under the form of installations half-way between a work of art and an object with an industrial finish. As an echo to the subject of digestion and transit, he wanted to realize giant hourglasses through which visitors could pass, fall or slide…

After proposals and a dialogue with the artist, we came up with several functional prototypes using inflatable materials, foam, textile chutes systems, inner tubes…
